"Travel" Kendell

This post has been a loooooong time comin. There has been lots happening, and very few pictures to document the fun. So, I think we found my new goal for the summer. Where to start...? Since graduation, things have definitely slowed down. We are both working full time now and have tried to take advantage of this great weather we've been having. We already hit up a drive-in!! And if you've been reading my "House" page, you've noticed that we've been staying pretty busy with that as well. It's super fun picking things out with Kendell. He has been so good with planning, and throwing out lots of different ideas. One. of. a. kind he is. Experiencing this together has made me learn so much about him that I hadn't known before. For instance, he is SO incredibly stuck on having "flood" lights. We just got done with all the electrical in our new house. Kendell wants flood lights in the back. This would light up the yard like the fourth of July. I asked him why these lights were suuuuuuch a necessity? WITHOUT FAIL, he response with this everytime. "So I can fire up the grill, and play volleyball until 2 in the morning!" A. Who's grillin  past midnight? B. Kendell does not care for volleyball, never has, never will. He does however know it's my favorite sport. (Could play some part) C. Now that he is married folk, he likes his shut eye. If I didn't make fun of him, he'd be in bed before the local news. So, having shared this story, we can conclusion that, well.....there is no conclusion. Mystery still remains as to WHY he wants his flood lights. :) Sorry babe! hahah Awww yes, which brings me to my next topic. Kendell is by far the funnest person to travel with. For those of you who know my husband, you would agree that he has many different "Kendells". Something downright strange happens to him when you put him on the open road. He becomes, "Funny Kendell". It's like he transforms into this goofy, hyper, jokester man-boy!!! I seriously can't stop laughing. WHERE DOES IT COME FROM? It's like a mix between Jack Black and Lloyd Christmas. This past weekend, it just so happened that we both had work off. (Keep in mine this RARELY happens) This definitely called for some travel time and the decision, Supercross tickets! For WEEKS I had told him that we should get them online quick. He assured me that it was fine and that we would get them cheaper later. Soon, this procrastinating couple found themselves ticketless the night before the event. So, day of, Kendell is calling people like crazy! We met up with some friends and they told us were they were sitting. Kendell gets a little nervous and on a sure whim, agrees to pay for two seats that were fairly close. It was a little more than we wanted to pay for such seats, but time was running out. We pull to this sketch parking lot where we wait 30 minutes for the seller to come. While waiting, a couple guys pull up beside us. Chitty Chatty, turns out they bought some from the same guy as well. He finally shows up and we take the tickets. We get not a half mile down the road when we notice not only were those seats not center middle section, but corner nose bleeds! "AHHHHHH SHOOOOOOOOT! We got took!!!!!!! After some panic giggles and some bashing, we slowly made our way up the isle to the binocular section. Ahhhh yes. There were our two fellow rookies. We were a  good 10 or 11 rows behind the closest person. hahahah but it was so fun! My two favorite things. Kendell and the smell of racing fuel!...or at least I thought that was the smell from up there? I regret to inform you that pictures were NOT taken of this event. That's all the update for now, stay tuned for our next blogisode!
