HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY!!!! Well, seeings how Kendell and I haven't had too terribly much goin on lately (MINUS
the house building while I'll post on the "house" page), I'll just give you a brief update on the
Horman duo. THE BLOG MUST GO ON! To start out, our memorial weekend was
fannnntastic! Yes, yes I understand there were some cloudy days, not mucho tan
to the skin and I worked the entire weekend including Memorial Day. BUT, I had
some time off and the hubs and I were going to party like it was 2012!! Sunday,
Kendell and I were able to visit the cemetery with his family to clean up/
place flowers on family plaques. It was a lot of fun! I really enjoyed looking
around and seeing so many people remembering their loved ones and helping to
make the place look good. Monday, my family decided to fight the traffic at
Kelly Canyon and motorbike! There was SO much mud/snow, but as always, we had a
blast! I regret to inform you that I have not yet received the total crash
tally's for the family yet. I'll keep you posted :) We love living so close to
family! As far as our day to day, Kendell is still working shift and I picked
up another job. I figured if he's gonna be gone...I might as well be, right?
Guess we'll see how long I last. haha Well here are some things that have been
on our minds that past few weeks. Kendell has been spending lots of time
working on "Lucky". This is his red hot girlfriend. That's right
people, my husband has replaced me with a SINGLE cab Ford Ranger. He and his
two buddies all have one. What they do is piece together these trucks to make
them an "off-road monster"! They build them to fly through the desert.
Because excellent suspension is everything, they are about to hit whoops and
whatever else they can think up with a lot of speed. It all sounds great in
theory until it consumes his every thought! I'd be a rich woman if I had a
nickel for every time we talked tires, suspension, fiberglass, roll cages and
head lights! haha However, I am thankful that he has such good friends who will
"boy talk" with because it's beginning to be way over my head!
Thaaaaaank you Cody and Jake!
Next we have
ourselves some fridge shopping. Turns out, when you build a house, they expect
you to put your own stuff in it. Chh! Dang that small lettering!!! So, the wife
called a little "FHE" (which soon turned into Pinterest and truck Googling).
I told Kendell that we needed to write a list of things we were in the market
of purchasing in order of "needs". We started off strong with things
like grass for the new house, landscape, Kitchen appliances.....until we hit number 4 or 5 on the
list. I’m telling your now that list needs BURNT, because we look like sheer
idiots! Purple Riding boots, two "50" motorbikes for just around
(maybe to go to the mailbox and back??), new regular sized motorbikes, snow machines, a semi/pickup truck?????!!!! (Still not sure how that made it to
paper), shop, a pink tool chest, a camper, lots of "cool" cars, t.v's
above bathtubs, camp trailers, boats, evo's, and MUCH more. What started off so
promising...turned out to be a big Christmas wish list. Wow, CHILDREN! Now
getting back on track...A fridge came 1st. We don't have our own and we have
all the other kitchen appliances. So off we went to find ourselves a fridge.
Here was my choice of the day.
Classy...right?
And here is Kendell's. Every bell and whistle you could think of. He was
AMAZED that you could push a button and open up the fridge to a
"different" compartment. "See Ash, you could put your milk,
maybe some pop, and ooooop, let me just get you back to the ketchup and mustard
compartment. " mmmmm hmmmm. All in all, we all know what sold him. The LED
lights. We're still a little new at this. :/
Haha! Hilarious! Sounds like you guys are staying busy! Can I live at your new house? I think I'll wait to move in until you get everything on the wishlist. Oh and I vote Kendalls choice in fridge! All you have to do is push a button!!!
